Arrived at 10 weeks old. Spent the first night tucked under a blanket on the couch, already owning the place.

Came home looking like a completely different dog. Walked a little taller. Knew it.

Mr decided it was time I learned how to use the computer — his way. Paws on the keyboard, chin on the trackpad. I'm not sure who was training who.

November walks became our thing — Mr leading the way, nose to the ground, tail up. Every block a new adventure, every smell a whole story.

Nobody gets in or out without Mr's approval. He took his post at the front door seriously — watching, waiting, and ready for whatever came through.

He did not agree to this. Survived anyway — wrapped in his towel, doing his best to look unbothered. He was not unbothered.

A rare warm January day and Mr made the most of it — leash in hand, sun on his back, in no rush to go anywhere. Just soaking it all in.

Stepped outside, looked at the ground, looked back at me, and then absolutely lost it. Zoomed for 20 minutes straight.

Belly up, paws in the air, no complaints. Mr figured out early that the best way to spend a March afternoon is doing absolutely nothing at all.

Mr found his spot and claimed it. Eyes on the screen, not moving. Whatever was on, he was invested — and he did not want to be interrupted.

Mr made his position very clear — that toy belongs to him. The look says it all. Don't reach for it, don't look at it, don't even think about it.

One year in and he already knew the day was all about him. Sitting proud in the grass with his birthday bone — Mr turned one in style.
